Lamar Odom is back to his old ways

Once an addict always an addict goes the popular saying. Is it true? In most cases a drug addict is always at risk and the chances of having a relapse is pretty high. Some however have been able to get rid of the proverbial monkeys on their backs.

Prior to his display of public drunkenness, he was sent packing from his rented house by Khloe Kardashian who he is separated from. Khloe Kardashian rented the apartment for him after he came out from the hospital after his near death experience last year.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ claims Khloe Kardashian kicked Odom out of the house after she found crack pipes in his home. Also friends of Lamar Odom are saying he has gone crazy and they have been trying to get through to him.

Lamar Odom’s story is a sad tale of a man who lost himself to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Odom was a talented basketball player but the moment he followed the Kardashians to the ‘la la’ land things went awry for him.

Not everyone can handle the scrutiny that fame brings and Lamar Odom cracked under pressure. He was better off low key and focusing on basketball instead of keeping up with the Kardashians.

Lamar Odom’s father was a drug addict also therefore it is disappointing to see the former star battling with the issue of drugs in such a public way. Clearly he didn’t learn from his father and he has now allowed a self-destructive habit hurt the remainder of his years on earth.

Lamar Odom was lucky that he didn’t die last year. If the reports are true that he is back on drugs then the former athlete has a death wish. Clearly the therapy he has had didn’t help him exorcise his demons. What is worrying Odom is more than physical.

After being kicked out by Khloe there is no one longer fighting for him. Unless by a miracle Odom is really about to go downhill. The people around him are likely the ones who encouraged his self-destructive habit in the first place.

For such a talented guy it is sad to see that Lamar Odom’s life is about to become a cliché, a cautionary tale about not chasing waterfalls.
