Dear celebs, releasing photos on birthdays is boring

Celebrities in Nigeria have to do a whole lot more than release photos on their birthday.

Not only as these photos sent to the media, they are also splashed all over Instagram. To make matters worse, the celebrity who is marking his or her birthday will go ahead to clog my timeline with repost of birthday greetings from well wishers.

The photo trick once cool to do is now absolutely played out. Even the lowest of celebrities push out the most unimaginative of photos on their birthdays. It is time for our celebrities to think of new ways to celebrate their birthdays in ways that won’t bore us.

On their birthdays celebrities can release new materials. If it’s the birthday of actor he can release a small sketch on Instagram or YouTube to mark his birthday. First of all this is new content for his fans to enjoy and secondly it is a much better than releasing photos.

For a singer and musician, a single, mixtape or album can be released to mark a birthday. Apart from dropping new content the singer can also make money off this new material. This sounds way better than dropping photos that don’t generate money.

Another way for celebrities to mark their birthdays is by doing something charitable. Donating food items to the needy and orphans is sort of popular so something new could be a whole lot better. It won’t be a bad idea to have lunch with disabled kids, or orphans. Even taking a day out to take care of the elderly in any old people’s home is better than just releasing photos.

Although care should be taken when doing a charity run during birthdays. It should be done tastefully and with class so it won’t look crass and opportunistic.

Another thing a celeb can do on his or her birthday is to hold a birthday party. I am not talking about the usual club party but a beach party or house party. It shouldn't be the regular party at a club. It should be held at a very exclusive and nice location. A celebrity birthday bash with a theme will also be a nice touch.

Lastly, a celeb can go the simple way by just sharing a non-professional photo of himself or herself thanking everyone for their birthday greetings and wishes.

All these suggestions above are way better than the normal photos that we get every time.
