Patience Ozokwor remains one of Nigeria's biggest actors.
At the mention of her name you can't but think about the numerous movies she has starred in and how she has become a household name over the years.
Patience Ozokwor is known for her roles in movies especially the roles of a mother-in-law, most times the wicked one, which she acts with so much passion making you wonder if she actually is a wicked mother in law.
Patience Ozokwor was born on March 25, 1958, at Amaobo, Ngwo in Enugu state. She had her secondary education at Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos and later went on to the Women Training College where she became a teacher and taught for four years. She got married at the very age of 19.
She moved on from teaching to broadcasting as she became a broadcaster for a radio station for years before moving on to do a soap opera entitled "Someone Cares," a program about rural women, for the Nigeria Television Authority.
Patience Ozokwor, however, broke into prominence in 1999 in the movie "Authority." Since then she has moved on to star in a lot of movies making her one of the most sought-after actresses in Nigeria. She has so many nominations and awards to her shelf such as the "Best Supporting Role" at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and City People Movie Award for Best Actress of the Year (English) both in 2014.
Her relevance and influence in the movie industry are so glaring that she had to be called up to star in the sequel of the blockbuster movie "The Wedding Party."
