Rapper's team dances to Olamide's ‘Bobo’

The appeal for Nigerian musicians abroad is apparently on the rise. Over the decade, we have seen more collaboration between them and their counterparts abroad.

Missy Elliot and crew dances to Olamide

American rapper, Missy. Elliot adds herself to the list of international musicians who are currently showing a liking for the Nigerian type of music.

This was discovered on Twitter as Missy. Elliot and her dance crew entertained themselves to the sound of Olamide’s ‘Bobo’ hit track. A video is seen showing the rapper (Missy. Elliot) capturing the stage as they dance.

There was no clumsiness whatsoever in the way they danced, as her crew showed some professional dance moves that could rival the steps of local fans.

Therefore bringing music made in Nigeria to a world stage. We have seen acts like D,banj, Ice Prince and others bag international recognition as an acknowledgement of their individual skills.

Olamide was recently involved in a row with fellow musician/producer Don Jazzy at The Headies. The dispute was over his grievance about who should have received the ceremony ‘Next Rated’ award category.

Although both stars were later reported to have mended their misunderstanding, an amount of controversy had been spread before this happened.
