After ten years of marriage, former Spice Girl member Mel B is divorcing her husband Stephen Belafonte.

The America's Got Talent star filed divorce papers on Monday, March 20, 2017, signalling an end to a relationship filled with controversy and claims of violent outbursts.

Mel B who got married to her producer husband in Las Vegas in 2007 cited 'irreconcilable differences' in legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Mel listed 'joint custody' in the filing, opting to share the responsibility of the couple's five-year-old daughter Madison.

Meanwhile, Mel has two other children from previous relationships.

The star, who was also a judge on the X Factor UK, is being repped by top family law attorney Susan Wiesner in the divorce.

Recall that Mel and Belafonte's marriage hasn't being filled with roses over the years.

Although they seemed happy when they renewed their wedding vows in front of their families in November 2008 in Hurghada, Egypt.
