Our man crush today is the current King of Afrobeat, Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti.

Femi Kuti is a Nigerian musician and the eldest son of afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti.

With a gentle personality which can change to unleash a more aggressive side when called for, Femi Kuti is one of Nigeria's most loved afrobeat singers.

His musical career kicked off when he joined his late father's band. He later moved on to start his own in 1986 called 'Positive Force'.

His first record was released in 1995 by Tabu/Motown, followed four years later by 'Shoki Shoki (MCA)'. In 2001, he collaborated with CommonMos Def and Jaguar Wright on 'Fight to Win' and started touring the United States with Jane’s Addiction.

Another attribute of Femi Kuti that endears him to people is his honesty. According to fans of the activist, there is nothing he won’t say. He rarely censors himself. His interviews are goldmines. He is one of the few male celebrities in Nigeria that can boldly tell you that he cannot be in a monogamous relationship.

We love Femi Kuti and we hope you do too!
