"I'm disappointed by lack of diversity at 2016 Oscars"

The actress joins the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith, Idris Elba and Snoop Dogg who are now calling for a rapid and radical change in the Academy's board.

Lupita Nyong'O is one of the latest Hollywood stars reacting to the lack of diversity in this year's academy Awards.

The actress, joins the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith, Idris Elba and Snoop Dogg who are now calling for a radical change in the Academy's board. According to her, the Oscars should be a universal body which celebrates art, stories and story tellers and not a forum to which a certain race gets all the glory.

The Oscar winner took to her Instagram on January 20 posting a powerful message about the change needed at the Oscars:
