A close source claims busy schedules caused Christina Milian and Lil Wayne's split

Christina Milian and Lil Wayne have ended their one year relationship, reports confirm on Monday, September 14.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the music couple broke up in late August. Christina, 33, and Wayne, 32, were first linked together in July 2014.

The former couple have remained amicable following their split. Both even attended the same New York Fashion Week show on Saturday, September 12.

An insider tells Us Weekly that their busy schedules is partly responsible for their split. "They've broken up a few times before. She’s got so much going on with 'Grandfathered,' her E! and Hulu shows, and working on her album with Wayne,'' the source said.

In August, the 'Dip It Low' singer supported Lil Wayne during his performance at the Billboard HOt 100 Music Festival in Jones Beach, New York and also joined him onstage. She was also seen dancing to the side of the stage and enjoying a cool drink.

Both go separate ways but remain busy as ever. In July, Lil Wayne released his 11th studio album Free Weezy Album exclusively on the Tidal streaming service. Meanwhile, Christina can been seen alongside John Stamos in the new Fox show 'Grandfathered' that premieres on September 29.
