Singer sides Kylie Jenner post racist attacks over cornrow picture

The Biebs wrote: ''Saying she's being racist because she has her hair in braids is ridiculous."

Justin Bieber is standing by Kylie Jenner after she received major backlash for posting a selfie of her wearing cornrows (braids) on Instagram on Saturday, July 11.

One of those who slammed the 17-year-old was 'The Hunger Games' actress, Amandla Stenberg, 16, who wrote: "When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."

Well, Bieber came to Kylie's rescue on July 14 writing: "Guys leave her alone, were all trying to figure it out and she happens to be under a microscope! I'm the first to know this. But saying she's being racist because she has her hair in braids is ridiculous."

Trying to stay positive, Bieber added, "Let's focus on the bigger picture and instead of fighting over something stupid, let's do something about equality -- but it doesn't start here blasting a 17-year-old kid for wearing braids."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had replied to the cornrow controversy by calling out Stenberg's comments. "Mad if I don't, Mad if I do. Go hang w Jaden or something,'' she wrote.

Stenberg attended prom with Jaden Smith this year and Smith also happens to be Jenner's rumored ex-boyfriend.
