Comedian’s wife speaks about his near death experience

Ibiere Agwu talks about how she coped during her husband's ordeal.

Ibiere Agwu, wife of popular comedian Julius Agwu has spoken about her husband’s medical scare and brain surgery.

In July the popular stand-up comedian revealed how he nearly lost his life and had to be rushed to America for a surgery where two tumours were removed from his brain.

The surgery led to memory loss and paralysis, but Julius Agwu has now fully recovered. He even had a thanksgiving service last month and is planning on releasing a gospel single.

His wife has spoken for the first time about the ordeal. “I feel happy because compared to how he was before, and what it is now…I mean I feel really happy and I thank God” she told E Rave.

Recounting the ugly experience she said “It was scary. I don’t think that’s anything anybody should experience. I don’t even wish that on my enemy. It was scary but I mean we had to what we had to do.”

Ibiere Agwu said when her husband was sick she relied on prayers, family and external support.

After Julius Agwu became hale and hearty, he and his wife visited Madame Tussauds in London.
