"Doctors Fell Asleep, Didn't Find Deteriorating Vital Signs"

Her family's legal team claims the legendary TV star could still be alive if the clinic where she died had sufficient medical equipment for the surgery and doctors didn't go to sleep!

Investigation into Joan Rivers' cause of death is taking a new twist after her family's legal team claims the legendary TV star could still be alive if the clinic where she died had sufficient medical equipment for the surgery and doctors didn't go to sleep!

According to TMZ, there were a number of screw ups, including a doctor's notes that showed an alarming amount of Propofol in her body. Eventhough the notes were not accurate and there was nothing in the blood work to suggest Propofol killed Joan.

However, Rivers' legal team is saying the Yorkville Endoscopy Center did not have critical lifesaving equipments on site... specifically a drug called Succinylcholine, used to relax a patient's trachea.

They also believe the drug would have instantly opened Joan's vocal chords which were reportedly cramped and closed shut.

Another shocking revelation from the legal team claims the doctors were asleep at the wheel, failing to identify "deteriorating vital signs."

Last month, medical results showed she died from "predictable complication" with the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner's latest findings stating Joan was sedated with Propofol during the procedure.

Her daughter Melissa Rivers however filed a lawsuit against the clinic for the cause of her mom's sudden death on August 4, 2014.
