Following the protest in Baltimore over the death of Freddie Gray in the police cell, actor, Jesse Williams has taken on critics who called the protest a riot.

The actor TV series star took to his Twitter handle on Monday, April 27, 2015 to back the protest asking what kind of violence do the critics prefer since the death of Gray is almost swept under the carpet with the overturn of events.

"So what kind of violence do you like?" William tweeted rheteorically.

Not done, the actor further explained that the actions of the youth and people of Baltimore over the death of Gray was a protest and not riot.

Wlilliams, who criticised the term 'riot' in particular because of its racial connotation, said riots in the white community are seen as, 'blowing off steam.'
