Halima Rashid, 38, was picked up by the police after Jackson called 911 reporting she that she bit his leg during a heated argument over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Jermaine Jackson's wife has been arrested for domestic assault.

Halima Rashid, 38, was picked up by the police after Jackson called 911 reporting she that she bit his leg during a heated argument over the Thanksgiving weekend.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the incident happened at the couple's Woodlnad Hills, California mansion on Saturday, November 28.

Rashid spent five hours in jail after her arrest and was reportedly released on a $50,000 bail. She's however expected to return in court for the felony domestic assault charge on December 23.

Jackson, 60, met Rashid in 2004 while they both were in line at a Starbucks. Originally from Afghanistan, Rashid comes from a wealthy family and it’s rumored that she wasn’t impressed with Jackson’s family connections or his singing career when they met each other. Yet the pair still hit it off so well that they were married eight months later in a Los Angeles mosque.
