The president of ROC Nation, Jay Z has won the lawsuit on the ownership of the masters of two of his albums, The Life and Times of S. Carter and The Dynasty.
Jay Z has emerged victor in the epic battle with Chauncey Mahan, who was holding the masters to The Life and Times of S. Carter and The Dynasty albums hostage.
Mahan, a sound engineer on the albums, had once claimed ownership and stashed boxes of tracks in a San Fernando Valley storage facility after which he sued Jay and ROC Nation after he was caught by the police.
And just recently, a judge just shut him down, ruling he waited way too long to sue, thus, Jay Z owns his stuff outright.
The Life and Times of S. Carter went triple platinum and contains songs like Big Pimpin and Jigga my N****.
