Rapper reveals mother is a lesbian
On his new album’s third track, Smile, Jay says his mum, Gloria Carter, is a lesbian.

"Momma had 4 kids but she’s a lesbian/had to pretend so long that she’s a thesbian/Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate. ‘Society shame and the pain was too much to take/Cried tears of joy when you fell in love/Don’t matter to me if it’s a him or her," he rapped.

Gloria then gets a feature role on the track with a spoken word performance about her sexuality, where she tells people, "Love who you love, because life isn't guaranteed."
The US star, whose infidelity was aired by Beyoncé on her album "Lemonade", also raps about his shame and regret, and his fears about losing his family
