Iroko TV CEO Jason Njoku and his actress wife Mary Remmy are now the proud parents of a baby girl. The couple gave birth to their second child daughter.

Njoku and Remmy had their first child, a boy on October 16, 2013. The pair got married on August 18, 2012.

Jason Njoku is the CEO and Founder of Iroko Partners, the largest distributors of Nigerian movies, with a library of over 5000 licensed movies.

Iroko Partners comprises five web brands – iROKOtv, iROKING, iROKtv, NollywoodLove and YorubaLove.  Njoku is building a very modern digital distribution infrastructure using Amazon Web services, Ooyala and several other video ad networks to service the second largest movie industry (by volume) in the world – the Nigerian movie industry, also known as Nollywood.

Panda Daily’s Sarah Lucy reports that last year, Iroko did eight million YouTube streams a month, with a $1 million revenue run rate. The success of NollywoodLove on YouTube led to a successful investment from US-based hedge fund Tiger Global, who led a two round funding amounting to $8 million, making it one of the biggest single investments in a West African internet venture. Another investment of about $2 million then followed again in July 2012 led by Swedish-based hedge fund Kinnevik.
