Lupita Nyong'o's alleged boyfriend, Jared Leto has decide to finally chop off his famous long hair and beautiful beard!

The 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor took to his Instagram on Monday, March 2, shared a black and white salon snap shot, featuring a pair of scissor-armed hands held up to his ponytail, ready to clip!

The 43-year-old star captioned the pic: "I miss my beard already"

His fans immediately expressed disappointment at his decision to shave his famous mane .

One wrote: @pinagap - "Nooooooo oh noooooo"

@gemmullen lamented: "I saw him give a post-oscar interview where he said the bun had to go soon. I was hoping he was joking"

@rtjones simply stated, "I'm devastated."

Nevertheless, Leto did tease the cut via Instagram on Feb. 28, when he posted a shot of himself with his signature mess of waves, captioned, "Going going… #?"

While Leto has mostly stayed numb on the chop, his Suicide Squad director, David Ayer, explained with a tweet that it's for his role as 'The Joker' in the 2016 film, 'Should we?'
