'Star Wars' actor busted for reckless driving

Police say Lloyd was driving at high speed in Charleston, South Carolina when Sheriff's deputies began pursuing him.

Jake Lloyd from the movie 'Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,' was arrested on Sunday, June 21 after an insane car chase that ended when Jake plowed into some trees.

According to the police, Lloyd was driving at high speed in Charleston, South Carolina when Sheriff's deputies began pursuing him. The chase went on for miles into another county.

Jake eventually lost control of his car, ran off the road through a fence and drove into a wooded area where it struck several trees, police reports.

The 26-year-old actor who also starred in 'Jingle All the Way' was arrested and charged with reckless driving, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license.

He's currently in custody.
