Media personality defends Oshiomole's wedding on Twitter

The TV gal inquired the basis of the jokes about the couple's wedding that went viral saying What inadequacy does it trigger?

Media personality, Funmi Iyanda has risen to Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole's defence after he broke the internet with his wedding to Cape Verde beauty, Lara Fortes.

'The real question is why did people find images from the wedding so offensive? What inadequacy does it trigger?' she began.

'When we attack others, it speaks of our own fears. A lot of the "jokes" about oshiomole and wife were darkly vitriolic and sexist.

'Marrying a young beautiful wife is what most men do whatever their age; status and power makes it easier. Power is not just money.

'There was also lots of bile directed at her colour, a fact of nature. It's racism. Our perception of mixed race privilege is   our invention,' she tweeted.

Iyanda concluded her defence writing, 'People's personal choices are their business whatever our opinion. I would like to see rigorous scrutiny of adams performance as governor. As per his wife, she only becomes our business if she abuses her position as First Lady. Otherwise good luck to her, marriage no be beans.'
