It comes as no surprise that Funmi has been chosen to run this course. She has always talked about the fair treatment of the female in the society and has multiple times encouraged the women folk to be able to stand up for themselves despite living in a 'man's world'.
'Acknowledging one of Nigeria's celebrated women, Late Prof. Dora Akunyiliat the Lagos premier of 'A Place In The Stars', Funmi told Pulse TV ,

''Women need to know their place and be able to occupy it with briliance. She [Dora] was a woman of strength, power, intelligence and she stood for something [Operation Re-brand Nigeria] despite been told she couldn't do it. She was an inspiration. Nigeria will miss her type''.
