Newly married Chelsea football star, wife 'still on cloud nine”

It has been a ‘love in the air’ honeymoon for the new celebrity couple, Christine Bleakley and former Chelsea football star Frank Lampard

It has been a ‘love in the air’ honeymoon for the new celebrity couple, Christine Bleakley and former Chelsea football star Frank Lampard. Bleakley told her followers they “are still on cloud nine” after the success of their much-talked about wedding last Sunday.

The 36-year-old TV presenter Christine took to her Instagram page to share a snap of the two of them on the big day. She captioned the snap: "Thank you so much for your wonderful wishes the past few days! We are still on cloud 9! How many days can you celebrate getting married before it becomes inappropriate?!"

The wedding ceremony was attended by large numbers of celebrities led by Phillip Schofield and wife Stephanie Lowe and Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.

She captioned the snap where they are pictured leaving St. Paul's Church on December 20, with Christine looking stunning in a gorgeous white lace dress. The duo will be spending the Christmas together as Mr. and Mrs. Lampard.

The duo have been together for six years and married after a four-year engagement on Sunday at St Paul's Church, London in front of friends, family and celebrity guests.

It was reported by The Mirror Newspaper that Lampard paid tribute to his late mother Pat in his wedding speech. Pat was 58 when she lost her battle with pneumonia and she passed away a year before the couple met in 2009.

Frank previously spent seven years with Elen Rivas, with whom he has two daughters, Luna and Isla, before they decided to split in 2009.

Fellow TV presenter, Piers Morgan was the one who introduced Bleakley to the footballer at The Pride Of Britain Awards.
