Drake reveals he had a sweet reunion on Valentine's day.
Canadian rapper, Drake reveals he had a sweet reunion on Valentine's day. The record producer shared a photo of his favourite high school teacher, Kim Janzen who helped him graduate three years ago.
“My date for tonight’s game…who else but my favorite high school teacher who helped me graduate 3 years ago and also knows more about basketball than anybody,” he captioned a photo of the two on Instagram. “Happy Valentines hope everybody is getting love from somewhere."
Drake, 29, who dropped out of school at 15 to star on Canada’s popular teen show Degrassi: The Next Generation officially became a graduate when he was almost 26 in 2012.
"At one point in my life, I was a kid who was lost. I knew I wanted to do music, but I dropped out of high school against my mother’s wishes, who happens to be a retired teacher. A lot of people told me it was the wrong decision, that leaving acting was the wrong decision. A lot of the things I was doing [were] not the smartest choices, but passion is what drove me," he told U.K. radio station 106 KMEL in 2010.
