Fela's dancer found dead in Lagos
One of Fela's dancers, Dodo Mayana, was found dead in Omole area of Lagos State.

According to Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, she was found dead near Omole estate. Details are still sketchy but this is what Femi said:
Dodo, a popular woman at the Afrika Shrine, was one of Fela's dancers until his demise. She joined Femi Kuti’s band as a cage dancer before she retired and started selling drinks at the shrine.
