Actress releases statement on man who died in her pool

Demi Moore has released a statement on the man who recently died in her pool on Sunday, July 19.

In her statement, the 52-year-old actress said:

''I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.''

We previously reported that a 21-year-old man named Edenilson Steven Valle is said to have slipped and fell into the pool during the party at the home. According to his family, he did not know how to swim and probably drowned in the pool.

So far ,there's been no report of fowl-play but the police have opened an investigation. Neither Demi nor her kids were at home at the time of the incident.

One police officer said he believed the victim to be a member of staff.
