Veteran entertainment journalist highlights D'banj's losing streak

D'banj supported President Goodluck Jonathan's failed bid for a second term. He was also a staunch supporter of GEJ's first term bid. In 2011 he conducted an infamous interview with the President which generated a huge backlash.

Veteran entertainment journalist Olumide Iyanda has highlighted D'banj's losing streak in music, and his endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan.

In a tweet posted today, April 1, 2015, the Executive Editor for Niche Newspaper said "D'banj supported GEJ while Don Jazzy supported GMB. One is making more hit songs than other. Clear to see who has done better after Mo'Hits."

D'banj's former partner Don Jazzy aligned himself to APC during this election period. The party won its first presidential election when General Muhammadu Buhari was declared the winner of the March 28 election.

In the music side of things, D'banj is still seeking to stamp his presence on the scene after his the Mo' Hits split, while Don Jazzy's new label the Supreme Mavin Dynasty is the hottest music imprint in Nigeria.
