"Kardashians are not America's First Family'' - Social media blasts

Readers have slammed Cosmopolitan magazine on social media for referring to the Kardashians as 'America's First Family' instead of respecting The Obamas, who are.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan make Cosmopolitan magazine's November 2015 isuue

The world's largest magazine, Cosmopolitan, is under fire since releasing the cover for their November 2015 issue. In marking their 50th anniversary, the mag decided to have the queens of reality TV, Kris Jenner and her daughters, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner as their cover girls while referring to them as  "America's First Family".

Social media users went hard on the magazine calling them disrespectful and careless for forgetting that America already has a well known 'First Family' - The Obamas - instead of 'sluts' like the Kardashians.

According to Ryan Seacrest, who's also the producer of their show, 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians',  the magazine had the perfect cover and praised them for celebrating women who can die protecting their family.

"No one could have predicted the Kardashians' and Jenners' success… But when you spend time with them, what resonates is the family unit. There are so many things about them that are glamorous, crazy, and unlike our lives, but the sense of family is universal. They love and stand by one another no matter what. Their unvarnished candor reveals how close they really are.  You look at Bruce and now Caitlyn — you see the power of a family to come together when it would be so easy to fall apart. There's comfort in viewing that steadfastness of love," Ryan shared in the new issue.

However, not everyone is ok with the family being called 'America's First Family' by the mag. Here are some of the fans' reactions to the Kardashian-Jenner Cosmopolitan cover via Twitter:
