Kunle Afolayan is 41 years old

In 2005 after studying at the New York Film Academy he released his first movie The Figurine in 2009.

 

Today is the birthday of Nigerian filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan. He is 41. Kunle Afolayan was born into a family that had a strong movie background.

His father is Ade Love (Adeyemi Josiah Afolayan), popular theater and film director and actor in the 70’s and 80’s. Afolayan starred in the Tunde Kelani movie ‘Saworoide’ released in 1998.

In 2005 after studying at the New York Film Academy he released his first movie in 2009.

Today, Kunle Afolayan can be regarded as one of the leading movie directors in Nigeria if not the most prominent out of them all. His other movies are , and .

He is married to Tolu Afolayan with three kids.
