The sitting which was expected to hold on Friday, December 8, 2017, at a Magistrate court in Ikeja, Lagos, has stalled the court date which has now been fixed for December 12, 2017. This report is coming following the presentation of two suspects by the police.
Mr. 2kay's camp had earlier alleged bribery in favour of Burna Boy, whose manager, Joel was arrested in connection with the ongoing case. A press statement earlier offered by the Lagos State Police Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, revealed that the suspects were paid a sum of N100,000 to get the job done.
A representative close to Burna Boy, giving reasons why he had refused to show up in court, insisted that the singer who is out of the country did not intentionally avoid a court meeting.
“Burna Boy is not in the country at the moment, but he’ll definitely be back in December because he has a show in Botswana on the 2nd of December, so he should be around after that date to honour the invitation," a note read.
The allegation of criminal activity occurred following the "Buckwyld 'n' Breathless" concert hosted by 2Face Idibia, at the Eko Hotel and Suites which saw Mr. 2kay beaten and robbed.
