There have been speculations that her decision was as a result of the announcement of Lerato Kganyago as co-host of the show.

Matheba made known her resignation in a Twitter comment posted today, April 3, 2017.

She wrote, "After three years of making magic on the Front Row, I can confirm that I have officially stepped down as the host of the show.

"I will miss my Metro FM family dearly, as they say all good things do come to an end....looking forward to the next chapter of my radio life."

Her management, DNA Brand Architects confirmed the development but refuted claims that the show host quit her role because of the introduction of Kganyago as her co-host.

Queen B's career has seen her play host at high profile events such as the South African Music, Channel O Music Awards and The South African Film and Television Awards.
