Any hope of rapper Bobby Shmurda, 21, spending Christmas at home has been set back.

Yesterday (December 3), a judge denied the rapper's bail application. This is the sixth time the rapper's bail application has been denied.

Bobby Shmurda's family came up with the necessary $2m bond allegedly and gave a precise report of where the money came from, but all these were not enough to convince the judge to free him.

He will be incarcerated until the authorities are ready to entertain another bail application.

His next court date is in January 2016. Whether Bobby Shmurda will be released early next year is uncertain for now.

Shmurda, who is currently serving time at Rikers Island for both gun and drug charges, had his girlfriend smuggling a weapon to him in prison.

New York Daily News reports that ''a guard allegedly saw Kimberly Rousseau, 18, pull a black latex glove balloon wrapped in black electrical tape out of her bra and hand it to him.''

When the guard later opened the balloon, he found a 'sharp metal object.' Now, 20-year-old 'Hot N*gga' artist and his girl have been charged with promoting prison contraband.

Kimberly reportedly pleaded guilty to both promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a weapon, meaning she will most likely be serving some time, as well. She’s due back in court in July.
