Family still at war with Nick Gordon 1 year after late star's death

Her family are still suspicious around what caused Bobbi Kristina’s death and has insisted that Gordon was involved in her passing, which he however denied.

The daughter of R&B singer Bobby Brown and late music legend Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31, 2015, that drew comparisons to Houston's own death in 2012.

Gordon has not been charged or arrested, but is slated to stand trial. Bobbi Kristina’s estate has charged him to court for her wrongful death, which his legal team claims is unnecessary.

He is also involved in an ongoing $10 million wrongful death civil lawsuit that alleges, "Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture."

Last year, a source on Gordon's legal team said they were bringing on Jose Baez, who successfully defended Casey Anthony in 2011, for assistance.

In September 2015, Bobbi Kristina's father, released a statement to Us Weekly through his lawyer, Christopher Brown, in which he made some claims about Gordon. He told the publication that he felt Gordon “harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown.”

Some of the speculation surrounding Gordon’s involvement in Bobbi Kristina’s death comes from reports he was manipulating her during their relationship. A lawsuit, filed by Bedelia C. Hargrove, claimed that while they were together, Gordon stole money from Bobbi Kristina.

He is also accused of providing her with a 'toxic cocktail' on January 31, 2015, before she drowned in a bathtub.
