Bill Cosby's innocence in rape and sex assault charges have been called on again as Cosby Show actress, Lili Bernard and writer, Sammie Mayes have alleged to be victims of the comedian's growing sexual assaults.
Bill Cosby's innocence in rape and sex assault charges have once again been called to question as Cosby Show former actress, Lili Bernard and writer, Sammie Mayes have alleged to be victims of the comedian's growing sexual assaults.
According to a report by Huffington post, the two women came forward with sexual assault allegations against Cosby in a press conference that held on Friday,May 1, 2015 in New York City.
To further critic and call the comedian's innocence to question, the women have hired the services of Gloria Allred, who is representing many of Cosby's alleged victims.
While Bernard, who appeared on the Cosby Show as Zany and pregnant Mrs.Minifield on the final season of the show, claimed Cosby drugged and raped her after winning her trust, Mayes alleged that the comedian had drugged her with a mixed drink and had canal knowledge of her.
The women's attorney, Allred says Cosby raped Bernard in New Jersey, a state that does not have a statute of limitations on rape. Cosby could conceivably be charged for the crime if a prosecutor finds sufficient evidence. This has not been possible in the cases of other women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault in recent years.
'Women need to break out of their fear and report, so that predators can be held accountable,' Allred said.
Mayes' and Bernard's accusations is coming at the end of Cosby's Far From Finished comedy tour.
