The rapper has taken to his Instagram to flaunt his fit new physique and to be honest, he didn't drop just a few pounds ever since he took healthy living very seriously!

Ace Hip Hop act Beanie Sigel is no more the fat guy! The rapper has taken to his Instagram to flaunt his fit new physique and to be honest, he didn't drop just a few pounds ever since he took healthy living very seriously!

The 41-year-old appears to be an entirely different person from pictures of him now and more than a year ago.

"Health is wealth," he wrote beneath a photo he posted, "I feels like a million bucks. AL’HUMDU’ALLAH."

Reports say the rapper's drastic weight loss could be related to a shooting incident that occurred in December 2014. Sigel was shot outside his brother-in-law’s home in southern New Jersey, and there were claims that he has been staying in the same residence ever since he was released from a federal prison for tax evasion.

According to Philly.com the rapper refused to name his shooter till this day even though he released a statement about the incident. But the persons of interest include Sigel’s sister-in-law, Kamilah Slahuddin, and other relatives, but no arrests were made. The hip-hop star was shot in the abdomen, but fragments of the bullet got into his lungs. As a result, doctors had to remove one of his lungs in order for him to survive.

After the operation, Sigel left the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and stayed at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey. He spent 90 days at the facility to learn how to use his remaining lung to breathe.
