Popular singer Banky W is a year older today March 27, 2015 as he turns 34.

Olubankole Wellington who was born in the US is a Nigerian artiste under record label Empire Mates Entertainment. He moved to New York to attend college where he earned a degree in Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

On his entry into the Nigerian music with remix of Rihanna’s remix of Umbrella called Ebutte Metta, he has continued to make waves and has since then risen to be one of the most respected artistes in the music industry.

Mr W, Mr CApable is responsible for discovering Nigerian pop sensation, Wizkid.

The New York Film Academy graduate represents three huge brands in Nigeria, MTN, Ciroc and Samsung Mobile.

The cancer survivor has churned out great songs such as Lowkey, Lagos party,Mercy, Jaiye ori mi. He is currently working on his latest album with Cobhams Asuquo.

This morning as he landed in Lagos from Capetown he tweeted saying “Touch down Lagos!! Made it back just in time to vote... and to collect birthday presents. #HappyBirthday to me”.
