"I'm sure she gets such high-profile cases and everyone wants her because she's married to George Clooney; By employing her they'll give publicity to their case." Faulks tells a Daily Mail reporter.
"I mean, look at Cherie Blair: being married to Tony Blair didn't do her career any harm,'' he added.
Amal sparked a social media uproar few weeks ago when the Association Press referred to her as 'actor's wife'. Fans slammed the media outlet for not giving her proper credit as a well-educated and experienced human rights attorney.
But to Mr. Faulks - who's the brother to novelist Sebastian Faulks - Amal is still incompetent when it comes to 'serious' international issues.
"I heard her speak after the court case defending the journalists who were convicted in Egypt and, if I'd have close my eyes, I'd have never placed her because she has this new-age media trendy accent. I can tell you they weren't like that when I was a barrister," Edward explained.
