Not many know a lot about Iceberg Slim even though he is a rapper from Nigeria. We take a look at all you need to know about the man at the center of attention, Iceberg Slim.

Iceberg Slim who is originally known as Olusegun Olowokere was born in New York City to Nigerian parents. He was introduced to music at a very young age that by the time he got to high school, he had already started writing songs. Iceberg Slim had a lot of influences from rappers like Jay-Z, Drag-On, DMX, and Eminem who helped him shape his style of music.

Iceberg's quest for music made him leave John Jay College of Criminal Justice after 2 years completed, to attend IAR (Institute of Audio Research) to then pursue a career as an audio engineer/producer.

Iceberg Slim has featured the likes of Banky W, Sauce Kid, Iyanya, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Davido and other top artists including the international rap artist, Ja Rule, in some of his hit singles.

He had a little beef with Nigerian rapper M.I but they squashed it years later and even did a song together.

A talented musician like Iceberg Slim can't go without getting recognition as he has been nominated for awards and has also won some. Awards that he has been able to amass include “Best International Artist” at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards back in 2009.

Iceberg Slim sadly lost his mother in 2017 and was accompanied to the burial ceremony by his new love, Juliet Ibrahim which signaled the beginning of a true love story.
