South Africa's new power couple

Rapper AKA and media personality Bonang Matheba are now a power couple and they want the world to know.

In South Africa, the new power couple is rapper AKA, 28, and the 28-year-old media celebrity Bonang Matheba. In what started on a controversial note, both lovers are now beginning to become very public with their relationship. Speaking to Gravia Magazine, Matheba gushed over her new man who she calls her BFF also. As for AKA he has been sharing pictures of him and 'Queen B' on his Instagram. People are now giving them a thumbs up for being open.

AKA and Bonang Matheba are at the top of their careers which really adds the 'power' to their relationship. Bonang Matheba’s fortune is estimated to be $500,000. Her fortune comes from her businesses and investments. The media personality is the first and only Revlon Cosmetics ambassador outside of Africa. She also happens to be the CEO of her company Bonang Matheba Entertainment.

Within the last three years AKA has been one of the top rappers in Africa. In his home country he has only been eclipsed by his rival Cassper Nyovest. His last studio album '' released in 2014 has just been certified platinum in South Africa. While Cassper Nyovest might be the biggest star in their country, AKA is the most popular South African rapper in Africa. Call him cocky and controversial no one can deny that he is talented.

Their love story started late last year and not in a very romantic way. Last September DJ Zinhle (Ntombezinhle Jiyane) made a revelation alleging that AKA was seeing Bonang Matheba when she was pregnant. "A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over 5 months" wrote Zinhle in an open letter.

AKA and Bonang Matheba swiftly denied the allegations even though the rapper was spotted with her shortly after DJ Zinhle made her statement. The pair were quiet for a while until January 2016. The two lovebirds went to a beach resort in Mozambique separately as part of their plan to spend some time together. From the pictures fans could deduce that AKA and Bonang Matheba were together at the resort.  From then on the lid was open and the two stopped hiding the fact that they were dating.

It seems the initial negative backlash they got from the beginning of their relationship has faded and fans are now happy to see them together. Right now, South Africa's hottest rapper and hottest babe are an item and they are loving every bit of it.
