Music star 9ice has spoken about his recent appointment as the Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Youth.

In April it was revealed that the 'Gongo Aso' singer had been appointed by the Oyo state government led by Abiola Ajimobi.

In an interview with City People, 9ice said "I feel happy, great and honoured. The feeling is not always fine when you lose an election and you feel encouraged when you are given a position, maybe lower or higher, be it an appointment from political office you contested from. I'm happy about it and learning every day, and I believe that being in the environment of a political arena would help to build my political career and then from there I would be able to go for the highest political office."
