According to Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the UTME examination scheduled for May 13 has not been postponed.

He made the disclosure during a chat with newsmen on Friday, May 12, in Abuja.

Daily Post reports that Oloyede went on to appeal to the candidates to ignore the rumors and prepare to sit for the exams which are slated for tomorrow, May 13.

Oloyede enjoined the candidates to go to their respective centers for the examination.

He said the examinations will hold as scheduled except for those members of the Seven Days Adventist church who will be attending service.

The Registrar advised the candidates to check their e-mails for further updates and noted that some candidates are used to giving out their passwords and e-mail addresses to strangers despite several warnings from the board.

“Candidates should be aware of fraudsters who hide under cyber cafe operators to defraud innocent children.

“We have caught some of them while mischievously collecting money from candidates with the help of some security officers,’’ the JAMB boss said.
