19-yr-old stabs bookseller dad over 30 times with kitchen knife

Police have arrested a 19-year-old boy who killed his father with a kitchen knife. He stabbed the deceased over 30 times according to reports.

A 19-year-old boy, Joshua Uzochukwu Ezirim, has stabbed his father to death with a kitchen knife.

The incident occurred on Saturday at their family home in Onitsha, Anambra state.

gathered that the teenager stabbed Sampson Ezirim, a bookseller at Onitsha Main Market, over 30 times, killing him.

A source that spoke with Vanguard said Joshua, the last son of the deceased, chased away his mother and siblings from the house, locked the doors and then attacked his father.

His brother then reported to the police at Fegge Police Station.

Officers then arrested the suspect who had remained in the locked house with the corpse until the police shot tear gases inside.

The deceased's corpse has been deposited at the St. Charles Boromeo Hospital mortuary.
