The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold investor education lectures for graduates at the 2015 Batch A Orientation Camps of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 31 states and the FCT, Abuja.

Nigerian student bodies have rejected the "exploitative" N4000 call-up letter fee proposed by the NYSC for prospective corp members
The commission hopes that the one-hour long lectures, on investment, finance, capital market education, will increase participation in the capital market.
According to the Head, Investor Education, SEC, Obi Adindu, said the series, entitled ‘Opportunities in the Nigerian capital market’ will hold nationwide on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
"The central theme of the exercise which is ‘Opportunities in the Nigerian Capital Market’ will devolve into topics and sub-themes such as the investor protection role of the SEC in the Nigerian Capital Market; products and services in the capital market; advantages of collective investment schemes as investment vehicles; how to identify investment fraudsters/scammers/ponzi schemes; and job opportunities in the capital market,” Adindu said.
Adindu added that the lectures are aimed at improving public awareness among the public.
