"While on her way, Kamorudeen, who had connived with his accomplice, lured the complainant into a secluded place where they raped her after they had overpowered her," Koti said.

"Kamorudeen's accomplice covered their victim’s mouth with a clothe to prevent her from raising an alarm that could have alerted passers-by about their action."

The victim then reported to her aunt who filed a report at the police.

Koti said said the offences contravene Sections 137 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 which states that "any person who has sexual intercourse with a child is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life."

Kamorudeen pleaded not guilty to the charges.
