"As a result of your administration’s attitude towards education, Kogi now ranks as one of the top investment destination for private school operators with ill-equipped private schools springing up in every nook and cranny of the state."

It will be recalled that Kogi is one of the 19 states in the country which the Head of National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC, Charles Eguridu, said may not get results of the May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination due to unpaid registration fees.

But in a recent opinion article published in , one Danladi Danjuma called Wada "a Messiah and the best thing to have happened to Kogi since the creation of the state", adding that he oversaw a "150 per cent increase in internally generated revenue from N200 Million monthly in 2012 to N550 Million currently."

Wada, an accomplished pilot, became Governor of Kogi State in 2011 on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He is seeking a second term in office.
