Reverend's secret gangster life exposed after trying to execute 17-yr-old student

Pastor Shaun O. Harrison Sr. was a stellar figure in his community and a prominent anti-gang activist. But attempt to 'execute' of a 17-year-old student has put him in trouble, facing charges of assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police have unravelled the secret life of Pastor Shaun O. Harrison Sr., the dean of students at Boston English High School who is currently in police net after trying to 'execute' a 17-year-old student.

Harrison is a well-known pastor and prominent anti-gang activist was known by the “Rev” which is proudly printed in his office door, Boston Globe reports.

But Police and prosecutors now say he was leading a double life after a 17-year-old student, found bleeding from a bullet fired into the back of his head at 100 Magazine Street, in Roxbury, around 7:13 p.m. on Tuesday night, identified said "Rev" is the person who shot him.

The 55-year-year old community activist who publicly preached nonviolence was arrested on Wednesday.

Police are convinced that he is leading a double life as a drug dealer and has a gang tattoo hidden under his clerical collar.

Suffolk Assistant District Attorney David Bradley told the court that Harrison had arranged a meeting with the teen and then attacked him in an “execution-style shooting”.

“He had told the victim that they were going to a house to get marijuana and meet up with some girls for the victim,” Bradley said.

A surveillance video seems to capture the shooting, showing a man with hands raised towards the head of the person in front of him and then running away.

The teenager was shot behind the ear but managed to run into road and asked a passing car for help.

He was rushed to the Boston Medical Center where a bullet was removed from his cheeks.

The boy told police he has been selling marijuana for Harrison and a video showed both of them in an apartment that belonged to the Pastor on Pompeii Street.

Harrison denied the charges through his attorney when he was arraigned in Roxbury District Court on Thursday,

Judge David Poole set bail at $250,000 cash.

Police arrested three other suspects, Dante Lara, 24, Wilson Peguero, 23,and Oscar Pena, 19, who were found leaving the Pompeii apartment.

All three have the same tattoo as Harrison and are believed to have visited the apartment to remove evidence.

Harrison is seen as a stellar figure and the crimes he is accused of have left many baffled, especially as he founded Operation Project Gang Out, an anti-crime initiative that encouraged youths to give their illegal guns without consequence.

His sister, Susan Harrison, told the Globe that "it was a setup."

"My brother is a good man and I don't know how this happened," she said.

Nancy Robinson of Citizens for Safety, said the news left her shocked.

“This is totally unexpected. I’ve never seen him lose his temper,” Robinson said.

Despite all this, Harrison is facing charges of assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery, and unlawful possession of a firearm and will have to prove his innocence in court.
