Gunmen abducted Professor in Rivers

The gunmen are yet to demand a ransom for the professor's release.

Professor kidnapped in Rivers

Director of Centre for Continuing Education, Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Port Harcourt, Professor M.E. Ogburie, has reportedly been abducted by armed men.

According to DailyTrust, Ogburie was taken  in Elele axis of the state.

The victim reportedly recently buried his late father and the abduction took place barely three days after the funeral.

It was also reported that while the kidnappers have contacted the family, there was no mention of a ransom.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of RSUST, Professor Blessing Didia, also confirmed the abduction.
