You carried expo in this last JAMB and you think you can get away with it? Not so fast.

You were trying to dub, and you thought you were going to get away with it. You were wrong, you were dead wrong.

It appears the Joint Admission Matriculation Board has been sending out text messages to people caught cheating on CCTV. Someone shared the snapshot of one of such text messages on Twitter:

The text read:
"Dear Candidate, CCTV Camera Indicate That You Were Involved in Malpractice. JAMB Deducted 100 marks from your score thank you."

But we have doubts.

We have doubts because not all centres nationwide probably had CCTVs. Also, it would take weeks to skim through all the footage to find people who actually participated in examination malpractice.

Also, JAMB is trying to release examination results in a record time of 24 hours, hence, there clearly wasn't enough time to do both at the same time.

All efforts to reach the communications team at JAMB have been futile, and we'll keep you posted on any new updates.

The second problem we have with this text message is that it appears that the sender has a poor use of English. If only for this reason alone, we genuinely hope it's not from the Join Admissions Matriculation Board.
