'I did not quarrel with Education Minister' - sacked registrar
The former JAMB registrar has denied that he was sacked after a rift with the Minister of Education.
According to Tribune, Ojerinde said he left office on a good note with the minister.
After reports circulated about the removal of Ojerinde and 16 other heads of agencies in the Ministry of Education on August 1, it was rumoured that the JAMB Registrar, whose second tenure was to expire April 2017, was removed because he had differences with the minister.
It was implied that there was a rift due to the withdrawal of the 2016 JAMB admission list.
Ojerinde during a thanksgiving service held in his honour at the First Baptist Church, Igboho, Oyo State, maintained that he knew of his removal several hours before the announcement and, in fact, sent a text to the minister on the same day to appreciate him.
The Presidency announced that 17 new chief executives are set to be hired under the aegis of the Ministry of Education.
