Results of 111,981 candidates withheld, here's why

JAMB revealed that the results will not be released until they are cleared of any irregularity by the Board through the CCTV footage.

The information was disclosed by the body following intense pressure from candidates who took part in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to the reports, the results of a total of 111,981 candidates have been withheld for further screening.

JAMB added that the results will not be released until they are cleared of any irregularity by the Board through the CCTV footage.

The Head of Public Affairs Unit, Dr Fabian Benjamin, also revealed that a total of 1,502,978 candidates out of 1,652,825 who registered for the examination, have had their results fully processed and released as at today, Tuesday, March 20.

Another candidate emerges with highest score in 2018 UTME

Another candidate, Ibukun Oduntan, has emerged ‘best candidate’ in the just concluded 2018 UTME with 344 score.

On Thursday, March 15, Aliyu Muhammad Sani Kaugama, a young boy from Jigawa state who scored 311, was celebrated on Facebook for purportedly emerging as the best candidate in the 2018 UTME.

However, in the first batch of results JAMB released on Monday, March 19, 2018, Oduntan, who finished her secondary school education from Corona Secondary school, Agbara, Ogun State reportedly scored 344 in the exam.

For the students whose JAMB results have been released, here's how to check it

1.  You’re required to visit JAMB official website, www.jamb.org.ng

2. When it opens up, do check your upper right side.

3. Then insert your PIN, Serial No or Reg Number.

4. When your JAMB 2018 RESULT has been shown to you, print out the copies for further usage.
