Punch reports that the SSANU protesters built bonfires on the road at about 7am on Monday morning, singing solidarity songs and restricting movement  of vehicles along the Alabata Road which leads to the school.

According to the leaders of FUNAAB-SSANU, the protest was staged in the setting up of a visitation panel to look into activities of the management of the institution in the last four years.

The reinstatement of the 23 sacked workers was also of primary importance.

Addressing the gathering of journalists and protesters, the National Vice-President, Western Zone, Alfred Jimoh, called for an “immediate and unconditional recall” of their sacked colleagues.
