VC advises secondary school students to shun thuggery

The VC advised the students from 18 secondary schools from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo state.

Tayo advised the youths while speaking at the third edition of the youth empowerment programme attended by 18 Secondary Schools from Ogun, Oyo and Lagos on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services, Professor  Sunday  Owolabi, Tayo said the youth empowerment program was designed to bring the missing values of Nigerian youths to the fore.

The VC said the idea of the program is to let the students know that academic success does not automatically translate to success in life.

According to him, Babcock University was not only a faith-based university but also a place where there was zero tolerance for cultism, drugs and examination misconduct.

Babcock students too advised the secondary school students

Also speaking to the students, a 500 level medical student, Nwachukwu Olusegun, and 400 level student, Mercy Familusi advised the secondary school students and also informed them about their experience at Babcock University.
